Overview

This course is aimed at providing a good understanding of the technology behind and configuration of the Packeteer range of products running PacketWise v6.0+ software, including PacketShaper, PacketSeeker and Xpress.

The course ensures that students fully understand the role and features of PacketShaper and the technology it employs to achieve application control before detailing implementation and installation. It then concentrates on explaining the configuration and use of the 3 main concepts, namely Classes, Policies and Partitions and the use of the Reporting and Analysis tools. Historical and Real-time analysis, and the setting of events and thresholds are studied and discussed.
